03/13/09 - Happy Friday the 13th for the second time this year. It may seem like not much has been happing with us lately, but we've been busy working on some new songs and finishing up the artwork for our long-anticipated new EP, "In Failed Attempts." No word on a release date yet, but we expect it to be sometime before May. We'll make a big announcement when we know more. In the mean time, check out some Halloween show photos that have just been posted.

12/06/08 - We know it's really short notice, but come out tonight and join us at TNT's in Clinton Township as we battle for a chance to open up for Blind Melon on New Year's Eve. The show is sponsored by 89X.

06/22/08 - New pictures have been added to the Photos page. They are from our recent Elbow Room show.

03/20/08 - New pictures have been added to the Photos page. They are from our recent Majestic Theater show.

12/12/07 - We recently added a show at The Shelter in Detroit on December 14. It's ALL AGES and it's early. Details are at our Shows page. Bring all your friends. Save yourself a couple of dollars and buy your tickets from us. Talk to one of the band members or contact us through this web site or MySpace. Also, we were just in the studio and recorded five songs for an upcoming EP. Check out the unmixed versions at our MySpace page.

10/03/07 - The temperature is cooling down and the days are getting shorter. Fall is upon us. It's time to dig out your jacket and get ready for more Dear Maybe shows. Check out our Shows page for the details. And don't forget that our annual Halloween Party is just around the corner.

08/11/07 - Congratulations to Sunny and Heidi who are now married. We were asked by the lovely couple to perform at their wedding reception. Although most people would not think of us as a wedding band, we did our best to help make it a very special day.

06/07/07 - This Saturday's show will be part of the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life. For more information on how you can help, please visit this link to read an article from The Journal Newspapers Online.

02/08/07 - Thanks to everyone who braved the cold last weekend and came out to see us in Detroit. We really appreciate it. The cold weather is here for a while, but it's not stopping us from going out and doing more shows. We have three more chances for you to freeze with us in February. See the Shows page for all the details.

01/04/07 - Happy New Year to all. A new MP3 for the song "In a Quiet Place" has been added to the site. It was recorded this past June at The Modern Exchange. Take a listen.

10/10/06 - There's a chill in the air, the leaves are changing color, and apple cider is starting to flow all around. That could only mean that the Fourth Annual Dann Villa Halloween Party is only around the corner. Check the Shows page for all the gory details.

03/19/06 - Two new MP3s have been added. They are studio versions of "A Story Grade C" and "Four Letters Said." We're almost finished with our latest EP and we wanted to let you hear a few tracks for free. Check them out and let us know what you think.

03/04/06 - New pictures have been added to the Photos page. They are from our recent Modern Exchange show. We're playing there again on Friday, March 31 for another ALL AGES show. Check the Shows page for details.

01/03/06 - Well, we made it through another year. 2005 has been the best year so far for the band. We went on the road twice, with over 1/4 of all our shows outside of Michigan. Our latest EP is coming along. We're doing some more mixing tomorrow night, so make sure to come to our show this Friday and get your free sampler cd. This show is ALL AGES, so there really is no excuse to miss this one.

11/07/05 - We're recording an EP with some new stuff and some old stuff. The drum tracks are already recorded and the rest of the tracks will be finished by the end of the month. We expect to have it available by New Year's. Keep checking the web site for updates.

09/24/05 - Boy, you'd think we disappeared for a while. We didn't. We took some time off since our last update to work on new songs. Now that Fall is upon us, we're looking forward to playing shows again. Keep checking our site for updates. Our next scheduled show is the 3rd Annual Halloween Party hosted by Prophet Ecks on Saturday, October 29. Check out the flier here. For more details, visit our Shows page.

08/01/05 - We made it back from the tour. It was fun and we're already talking about doing another one. During our tour, we added a last-minute show on Saturday, July 30. This was supposed to be our day of rest before going to the Warped Tour on Sunday, but we decided to end the tour back home. We had a great show, as did the other bands (Jiva and Nicoblue). We were all tired at the Warped Tour, but it was well worth it. Join the E-Mail List and receive a tour summary within the next few days.

06/20/05 - We have added another MP3. It's A Story Grade C from the show we just did at the Hayloft Liquor Stand. Check it out. Also, not to be outdone this year, Bob broke two snare drums at the Island Fest show earlier this month. What is Paul going to do to top Bob and Jeff?

05/17/05 - Summer's coming up fast. We are working on a couple of tours, one of which is with the guys from The Hourglass Demo in late July. Keep checking the web site for details. We have added another MP3. It's Vaya Contigo from the show we did in April at Small's. Check out where Jeff decides to "not do anything."

03/16/05 - Two guitars, three broken strings. That's what happened to Jeff last night at our show at the Blind Pig. Luckily, the guys from The Hourglass Demo let Jeff use one of their guitars to finish the set. "I've never broken strings on these guitars before," said Jeff afterwards. Now he's tied with Bob for the most broken things at a show (three sticks - 9/27/03).

02/21/05 - We are pleased to announce that we will be playing at this year's Metro Times Blowout. We will be one of 200 performers taking over Hamtramck for three nights of music and fun. We play Friday, March 4 and you will need a wristband to see us. Your wristband also gets you in to see all the other Blowout performers, so make sure you buy one today. Wristband details are available at the Metro Times Blowout web site.

01/15/05 - Come to our next show and say hello to Paul. He's the new guy (in blue).

12/8/04 - We had a great time at our pre-Christmas show at the Mill Street Grille on December 4. The "strippers" added a nice bonus to our performance.

We're working on some exciting things for the new year, so come out and see what's new in 2005.

06/30/04 - More pictures have been added to the Photos page. The pictures are from earlier this year, but better late than never. Also, the MP3s page has been updated. Two MP3s have been added and some have been removed. Together Alone (unmixed demo version) is from our latest studio sessions and Last Goodbye (Lotus Version) is a live, alternate version recorded this past February.

05/24/04 - Mother Nature decided that she didn't want to hear us play this past Saturday. Our special acoustic show at the barbecue was cancelled due to the bad weather. We are planning on a make-up date, so check the web site for new details.

03/06/04 - More pictures have been added to the Photos page, which now has a separate page for each year.

12/8/03 - More pictures have been added to the Photos page. The individual pictures on the Band page have also been updated. Three mp3s have been added to the MP3s page. Two of the songs (Big Star Spotlight & Last Goodbye) are new to the page. A more recent live version of At Now was also added. Make sure to listen for the moment when Jeff breaks a guitar string during this song.

11/1/03 - New pictures have been added to the Photos page. Check for pictures from our Halloween show in the next week or so.

9/29/03 - We have begun our search for a replacement guitarist. Jason has chosen to no longer be a part of Dear Maybe. While we will miss him and his playing, we need to continue as a band. Please go to our temporary Guitarist Wanted page for more details.

8/15/03 - Our Guest Book is now up and running. Please take a minute to leave a message about anything you want, from our recent shows to the Blackout of 2003.

7/9/03 - Our show on May 16 at the New War Bar in Ferndale, MI has been reviewed in the July issue of Jam Rag ("Detroit's Music Magazine"). You can either pick up your free copy at several Detroit-area locations or you can read the online version at www.jamrag.com.

5/25/03 - If you haven't yet read our interview in the May 11 Sunday News-Herald, you can read it here. Keep in mind that the heading to the article is wrong, though.

5/14/03 - You may have noticed that this web site has been re-designed somewhat. New pages have been added, including a Photos page and a Merchandise page.

4/16/03 - We are playing a FREE show this Friday, April 18 at The Berkley Front in Berkley, MI. Go to the Shows page for details. Here's a quote about The Berkley Front from the Detroit Free Press: "With 45 taps' worth of libation on draught plus umpteen bottled brands, this place takes its commitment to beer pretty seriously. The wealth of choices may be what draws in the connoisseurs, but it's likely the unpretentious, relaxed feel of the place that keeps them coming back."

3/28/03 - We have some good news. Two weeks ago our guest guitarist officially joined the band. Jason Milan is a very talented musician and we are all excited by what he will bring to Dear Maybe. Here's some trivia - Jason was in a band with Jeff and Bob once already. Several years ago, they made up 3/4 of JFK. Also, the recording process for our new CD is moving along smoothly. Drums and bass have already been recorded. Guitars and vocals are on schedule for this weekend. We'll let you know when we have some preview audio clips available.
